We see all those warning stickers in owner manuals all the time when we buy a new piece of equipment. They have gotten to be so many safety switches on Lawn tractors it takes extra hours to trouble shoot problems with clutches and such.

Yet every year some fool and it isn't always a man is running a riding lawn tractor mowing with a small child on there laps or even a tiny baby in their (woman) arms. the woman was doing a ditch bank not just the flat part of the lawn and just yesterday there was a man with about a year old child also mowing a ditch then just a couple drive ways down there was a young girl using a push mower in ditch with shorts and flip flops on.

When I got to where I was going the home owner was out using his trimmer with a cutter blade on to cut down a crop of golden rod on the banks of his pond. No shirt, just shorts and flip flops.

I want to stop some times and read them the riot act but some do carry a gun when mowing, Like I do one place where I have seen several coyotes while mowing that lawn.

I also figure if they are that stupid they wouldn't listen any way.

:D   Al

Frightening isn't it!

It only seems to get worse with with the more "Safety" features added each year! :wtf:

I always said having no safety switches on mowers helped to weed out the stupid but that's just me!

Do you think these are the same people that caused Proctor and Gamble to have to add the warning to the Preparation H tube - "Do not take internally" ?

Partly because the stupidity is flowing from one generation to another. Not always the case, but I have seen this scenario happening on more than one occasion. It is kinda scary!

A bumper sticker that I saw in PA years ago: Stupidity Should Be Painfull! If you don't agree that the majority out there are stupid, look at what we have for political leaders. If they are stupid and armed, stay as far away as you can.

I see it alot, brats raised by brats. Most think that they are "entitled" and that consequences are someone elses problem. Sometimes a herd is alot better off if if it thins itself. That is one reason that I chuckle at doomsday preppers, many are hoping for something to happen. All we can do is take care of ourselves. Good Luck, Rick

Contains some NSFW language, but pretty much explains what's happening now.

Ok, Nieghbor across the street mows with the push mower,  younger couple, 4 year old boy, and he's pushing the mower with Dad, I cringe everytime I see it....all it takes is a trip and it might spell trouble,,,, Year before last, my other nieghbor, female,  always has her engine brake on the mower tied to the handle bars, shoot was plugged, so she decided to unplug it ,,,, lost the end of her thumb, and blamed the mower,,,, bought a new mower, noticed her mowing the other day,,,, ,oh, brake handle tied to the bar again, your right , you can't fix stupid !!! Oh, they're all college edumacated !!! I know people who ride motorcycles with no helmet, like the saying goes, "No bucket, no brain "
