Kenny, Stihl makes the best saws IMHO. That is why I only use their brand of weed-eater and leaf blower. I have always had GREAT service out of all my Stihl products. Very nice gift !!

I've always held them in high esteem! Great, long lasting products!

i have found stihl products to be excellent and i dont fool around with anything else, i have had trouble with many brands, some you cant even fix, i have 2 stihl saws and 5 weed wackers the largest the kombi 130 and a kombi 110 i highly recommend them as they fit many accessories but are a tad heavy, i am 6' 2" and the muffler heat has singed my arm so now i wear old soccar soak on my forarm, problem solved, but if your shorter it wont be a problem,  the problem is all the designers are short and its their revenge on us big guys, same as finding a coffee cup with a mans size handle, i had better stop now before the touches and pitch forks come out and they start looking for giants!!!!

I feel your pain. Short people cause all kinds of problems.

A kidding aside - I am impressed with Stihl products and have a string trimmer and a leaf blower.  Both have been great for me during the time I have owned them.  Sounds like your new-to-you saw is a beast.

I went to use it yesterday and the rope broke on the 3rd pull. It has a new rope on it now!

Congrats on the saw, take care of it and it will last a long time.

I have a 192 and 290.  Both are awesome saws!  I have buds that have the sears and husqvarna.  When we are out cutting, if I set mine down they come running and grab it.  Stihls rock!  I fell large trees with the 290, then trim down to size with the 192.  That thing is soooooooo light.  I cut down 'round 30 Burr Oak trees a year for firewood, the 190 is excellent for most the branches.

It's getting good care. I also bought some of the Stihl oil for the fuel mix for it!
