Has anyone ran across the need of making tire chains fit different size tires? Any comments, suggestions or experience doing this appreciated.
I have a set of chains for 23x 8.50 tires. I'm wanting to use them on 24 x 10.50 tires.
I'm thinking four lengths of chain and four permanent connectors plus two removable connectors? The two removable connectors would be to return them to original. The other four connectors & two of the chains to continue the tread pattern.

I just pickup old auto tire chains at tag sales where they are usually $5 for a set or less. I then cut them down to the size I need. The tool is getting hard to find. Good Luck, Rick

I welded three extra links per side to the tail end of the heavy duty, bar reinforced pickup tire chains I use on my 1614 Power King.  I only use two of the three but wanted to be sure.

IF i ever need them on my F-250 I'll just tie the few extra links up with a bungee or zip tie.
