Welcome on board. That is one serious piece of machinery. Sure would love to see it decked out with implements. Were any of the sold over here?

That certainly is a unique looking tractor.
I've never seen anything like it.

those tractors were built by using a BMB walk-behind as the rear end and adding a front steering system. I dont beleive there are any over here and hard to find in England.

Hi sorry about the delay in getting back. The tractor is not mine. It belongs to my cousin and he lives in Mayo, in the west of Ireland. It is in working condition and goes well. here are a couple more photos and some more info.

About 250-300 were built from 1948 to the mid 1950s. They were one of many Garden Tractors built by many manufactures after the war to meet th demands of small farmers for mechanization and to use up manufacturing capacity left after the cessation of armaments & war related works by most small engineering firms.
Source: Tractor & Construction Plant Wiki - Gunsmith Tractor (Gunsmith tractor - Tractor & Construction Plant Wiki - The classic vehicle and machinery wiki) This page also carries a shot of one of these tractors with a plough attached.

You can see the full set of 5 photos and more info on my Flickr account at: Gunsmith Garden Tractor - a set on Flickr
