I'd like to find a home for a Gardener I picked up. It looks to be in great shape to me, but I can tell the engine shroud has been repainted or touched up at some point. Everything else appears to be original. I don't see any signs of repair or damage on the cultivator, and it appears to all be there. Nice 6-12 BF Goodrich Silvertown's. Said to run well, but I'll have to give it a try when I unload it and track down my trusty pullrope.
This came to me as part of a lot in a local auction...I'm clueless as to their value or appeal. Just would like to split my cost in half, as I'm keeping some other items from that purchase. To do so, I'd need $150 for the Gardener.
Wisconsin is a model ABN, ser#1986009. I ran it through a site online and was given a build date of January '52. Engine sure feels good by hand.
Let me know if anyone is interested. I'm used to seeing prices on Simplicity walk behinds, and $150 is a good price for one of those, in good shape, with an attachment and running.
Feel free to share opinions on condition and/or value...hoping I'm not high. If I'm low, I'll stick to my #, and take the first cash. Certainly not looking to take advantage or get ahead. I just need the $150 back to make my other items a 'reasonable' investment. I will also be traveling to the LaPorte, IN Allis show 2 weeks from today (8/15/14), and can bring this along if paid for, if it helps someone out. It's a one-way trip, as I have a loaded trailer coming back home.
Open to the idea of trades as well...you guessed it, Simplicity or Allis built GT stuff is always welcome.
