Before I spend money, I'm looking for some advice. I have a Model L with a set of reduction hubs that the PO mounted 8" 5 -bolt wheels with 4.80-8 snowblower tires. Does anyone know if  the currently available 12X4 5-Bolt wheels will fit the reduction hubs? From photos that I have found online, they look like they have a similar offset. That way I can mount either 5-12 or 6-12 tires and gain some ground clearance.

from what i remember, all of the gravelys with gear reduction had 12 " wheels and tires. life was much easier with larger tires in loose ground and snow. gene

I would like to mount the larger wheel and tire. I just don't know if the new 12x4 wheel will fit.

I have the gear reduction hubs. I am wondering if the offset is correct on 12x4 rims as the old Gravely rims. I am using 8x4 rims now but they do not have any offset.

SWS,

I know it has been a time and I am sure you have it sorted but the wheel that is stock looks just like the 12" you are showing, do you have a spacer on the little wheels you have on that set of reducers? Any side pictures of it?

I have 7 - 12 tires and you can see the limited space to clear the handles and it gets mud every place, the 7" wide does float a bit also. nice thing is being able to reverse the wheel and have a wide track.

Actually I have sold the tractor that had these hubs mounted. I found a C-8 instead. Still have the hubs and 8" wheels though, and the 8' wheels had the same offset on each side.

You might try a 1" wheel spacer to gain a bit of clearance.
