I've never seen a simplicity but I've seen a couple deutz allis versions.

Sure....but I keep it pretty short.shaved anyway so not sure that will work in my case. 

 

Got an Uncle Si goatee though!  :D

She's a Sunrunner...They built them under the Simplicity and Deutz badges, late 80's into early '90's.  Various models for 8 and 12hp, gear and hydro drive, with 36" and 42" decks.  They are typically recognized by the optional tilt bed.  They do a real nice job with a turbo vac too.

I have the newer FC version, 16 hp Kohler with the 48" deck. I don't like it. Low on traction and doesn't turn well for it's design.
