Hammer, he would've been 21 this past September. Had to put him down in July. I had him for 18 years.  Broke my heart.0303130906.jpg

I have two Cockapoos- The black one is Kubota , she's almost two years old. The brown on is Pluto , he's 14 months old. Now that the puppy stage is over they are lots of fun. They are best friends that always want what the other one has.

Here is my shadow Boey. She is now 6. Gotta be one of the most vocal dogs I've ever owned. I don't mean barking at things either. She talks to me, talks back to commands, and complains on a daily basis. She gets more mouthy as she gets older. She gets it from my kids haha. She has to be the sweetest and gentle dog I've ever had also. She is only mouthy with me. Lays over with the rest of the family. We take her everywhere we go. Rarely leash her unless there are timid people around. Some people frown on an unleashed German Shepherd. She is full blood. I got her at 6 months from someone who couldn't care for her properly. We were best buds ever since the day I went and got her.

The friend who lined it up had gone and picked her up a couple hours away. We were heading back from vacation in florida. I went that day to pick her up at his house. He wasn't home and she was left for me chained up in the backyard since he doesn't have a fence. I walked around a little nervous, wondering if she will get aggressive since I'm in her space. I couldn't find her. So I followed the chain to a bush where she was hiding from me in. I lured her out and the minute my hand touched her head, she tackled me. Linkin me like she knew why I was there. She rode right next to me all the way home and immediately attached to my kids.

Since I was on my tablet when I posted Gunners pic I will tell a story about him now.

He had never been inside or had table food when we got him. After his first taste of people food he was hooked. Although in his defense it was BBQ rabbit. He isn't allowed to beg. SO if Steph is in the living room eating something Gunner will run in here with me and bark then run back out to her over and over until I get up. He is tattling on her for eating and not sharing. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Kare is finally getting her dog and is sort of forced to spend time with her. We named her Stormy because she was born Ash Wednesday during a snow storm that dumped 11 inches on us. We had been in the high 60F and 70F temptures range for a couple of weeks. Day we went to pick her out temp dropped to 39F and a storm wind had the wind chill in the low 20F area. Day arrived we were to go pick her up, rained the whole way down there and back So stormy it is.

She is a Ryman style English Setter. Kare has her trained to set and wait for the release before she can eat. Also has her drinking water from the short hose I have hooked to the hydrant to fill the water pail easier.

Cold the day we picked her out.

Vet yesterday commented on her soft mouth.

Took to her new home bed and toys fine. Of course we placed a ticking clock and hot water bottle wraped in a towel to keep her from feeling alone during the night.

After Morning one at her forever home first morning walk and it had snowed wet and sticky during the night.

14 weeks old and just home from a vet visit. Had to get her picture as she is always on the move so Kare is holding her for me.

Just back from the morning walk a week ago today.

She is now old enough she spends time in the kennel. Kare has taught her to sit and wait to be released before she can eat the food Kare puts down.

Thanks to TKR I have not been walking the dogs, Started doing Lily 2 weeks ago come Monday. but she is older and behaves on our walks so no damage done to the Knee.

Well, we have three...

Little Marley...the wife's little girl and not too cuddly, but always watching...

c279cca113daba686f8aacdd0652d904.jpg

Then we have Scooby...the one and only...everyone needs a Scooby. He stumbles in, digs through whatever is lying around, and walks off with what he wants. He has stollen things like shims from under drill presses and tubs, to tiles, and numerous other things. It is a joke in our house that somewhere in our yard, there is a fantastic dog house that Scooby has built. He is also the little cuddler and will come running at the first sign of someone being hurt.

Then we have the little orange one...also known as Gage...who's theme song has got to be Fists of Rage by Disturbed. He was our first foster and we decided to keep him after finding out he was quite quirky. We didn't know how quirky till he actually came out of his shell. We have to keep him seperate when visitors come and the wife says if we didn't get him, there is a good chance he would have been put down by now.

Love them all though.

Here are Carmel (boxer blood hound mix) and Gunner ( little bit of everything). I chased them all over trying to get a good pic of them. finally got this one. It isn't good, but at least they look like dogs instead of tornados.IMG_20160709_203127693.jpg

Chief (top) at 11 year old, has one bad eye & doesn't get around as well anymore, but he's still happy (and that's what counts).  He's our 3rd Dal & the first one to make it to 10 years.

Chief & Dottie.JPG

Dottie is 4 now & full of energy, always wants to be close, very close, it's sometimes hard to keep from stepping on her!
