Sorry to hear about your loss, that sucks.  Check with your home owners Ins and see if it isn't covered.

Just my 2 cents worth, but it

sounds to me like a moment of silence is in order here........................................

990 RIP.

Might be time to think about parting out what's left.

My hand is so screwed up from smashing it in the bobcat last week I can't even hold a screw driver to get the hood off. Dang it's aggravation to the fullest.

Walk away from it for a day or 2, go back to it when you got time.

Sorry to hear about your fire. How about keeping this one for parts and getting another to use?

It's really hard to loose a long term mower/GT like that. Almost like an old friend passing! Do you know what caused the fire?

I don't know.
I've thought about it and with all that would needed to be fixed it would be just to much. I have decided to part out some parts and use the frame for a build. This mowing season is a loss so I that gives me almost 8 months to get it back mowing and few months to have it ready for the fall plow day.

Tear down has become. I had a ct scan in my hand morning so hopefully they well know where the bone fragments came from that showed up on the xray. I wish I had the ability to hold tools as I'd like to get some of the role pins out. I'll have to wait until I get some help before I go much further.

I've thought more about it and have decided to go ahead and do my build. I've got enough parts to build one.

That sounds good. It really doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. Keep us to date.

I must have missed the post where you explained about your hand. . . . .  or the one where you asked for prayers.  How did you do that?

I smashed it in between the hydro cylinder and the lift arm on our skidsteer when my brother put the bucket down.  I mentioned it in my Massive Overhaul thread I think.

Thinking about this build.  Ive thought about maybe doing a custom made from scratch frame.  I don't know.  A lot of options.

(vomit smilie here) Great! I've got that thought in my head and I'll remember it when I'm eating.

Like was said, we're all here for you If you need something for your build, give a holler. I've got a Wheel Horse hood and front axle you can have. Also a pair of cast pedals, brake and clutch.
