I see that craftsman offers a scoop. Anyone know if it can handle loam? has to be raised manually, which seems like it would be really hard to do. 
I have less than am acre, but have to spread some loam/move around some soul. Shoveling it is a P.I.T.A.!

I also see johnny bucket has one, but only 7 in ground clearance! Figure arty least 12in.

Welcome to GTT. Loam is usually lighter than gravel, so it should be easier. The craftsman front scoop and the johnie bucket looked very similar to me. I think that sears had a small front bucket in the 60s but dropped it. Without hydraulic lift, you had better have a strong arm. Good Luck, Rick
