just got this 1976 st 16 today, it came with a snow blade. i paid $600. the guy told me he hardly used it and it sat in his garage most of its life. what I was wondering is, did I get a good deal or not ?  it runs amazing and feels like a new machine. I was going to re sell and try and make a few bucks but after cutting my lawn with it im having second thoughts, could be a keeper.

Dang ! clean, i see a keeper, those are solid tractors, got the OHV Techumseh.

Im thinking you thought it was worth it so you bought it, what it comes down to is what is it worth to you.

That was taken care of. There's not to much left over what u paid to make money on. But it's in great shape and it would be a keeper in my corrall . Enjoy it. That's a great tractor. They are tuff ! Tom

I would have a hard time paying that much, but that said...I'm a major cheapo!

On the other hand, with the condition it is in, I think you got a decent deal, about in the proper price range for it's condition. Some one has really taken good care of it.

I bought mine for $150, then a new head another $150 right off, then new ignition 6 months later, another $160, new regulator, etc, so even though I bought cheap, but the time I was done repairing, I could have bought yours!
