So around 2009 my wife's embroidery/ screen printing business went under. It was great for a mom with a new born. When matt got old enough , to go to daycare, she went back to school to be a math teacher. Fast forward to this spring, she graduated with a teaching degree . :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:

She has been applying for teaching positions ever since. Anything close enough. Monday she had another of several interviews, when the school called her back before she got home and left a message. Well they called back yesterday and confirmed she has the job. :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:

That is going to help so much around here. maybe now we get get a newer used car, and climb out of this hole we've been in. We're doing ok , but it will be nice not having to live paycheck to paycheck. maybe in couple years we can go on vacation .

Thanks for reading , Tom

A couple of years ago Karen got a job and we thought some of the same... The hours haven't been what we were hoping for but they have been flexible around kid schedules. Still doing the paycheck to paycheck thing.

I would like to see her move up the ladder a rung, but she seems comfy. Right now, there is enough going on I will let it be, but someday.

Congrats to you both. I hope it's everything you want!

Congratulations to you both! It takes a while, but the extra income will take away the squeeze as time goes on.

thanks everyone ! Yah its going to mean more work around house for me, but thats ok. the hardest part for her is the kids, they are high schoolers. You know how todays youth are. She's gonna be tired for a few months.

Congratulations to you both! It takes a while, but the extra income will take away the squeeze as time goes on.

yah we figure it will take couple years to pull ourselves up and out . just have to remember not to change our habits thinking we are Rockafellers.

Thanks from Barb an I

Glad to hear things are looking up for you all.  Teaching is more then a job, I'm sure those kid's will wear her out but I also thing she will reap some great rewards from them as well.  When our granddaughter graduated this past year I really noticed what a close bond she and her friends had with some of their teachers.  The teachers were even invited to the graduations parties.
