Rebuilding a 1990 Toro Wheel Horse garden tractor...Model #31-12K800   Kohler Engine Model #M12S-471527  .....  Serial #1923015603.  Having fuse problems with wiring and need

schematics diagram.

Have found several manuals but for the 1990 I have they don't match up and I can't seem to find the problem.   Any suggestions??

What is different with the manuals you've found and the unit you have?

Also, when does it blow the fuse? While mowing, at pto engagement, when you hit a bump?

Wiring is in the operator manual;

Detailed wiring - each circuit has it's own diagram

If you need to remove the low oil switch be sure to read a bulletin on removal so you don't break the switch. Ask for it.

The manuals I have found that should match up with the wiring actual in the tractor don't....  I have even checked the wiring schematics for the tractors newer and later than this model..

The tractor blows the fuse when you try to start the tractor.  The only way I can start the tractor and keep it going is to

disconnect the plug to the mag and generator.   Which then won't charge the battery and you can't shut down the tractor without choking the engine.

The way this one is wired has a "hot wire" running to the generator instead of a neutral wire.  If this makes sense...

I am pulling my hair out over this and don't have much left to pull out lol.   :tapping_fingers:

Thanks for all the help in manuals... but they are exactly the same as I already found.   The wires on mine are not the same colors as the manuals show.  Am beginning to wonder if the previous owners didn't either do a rewire themselves or had it done.  Guess I will just have to figure it out or take it in to have someone else check it out....

Just wanted to thank ev1 who tried to help in the matter....  kudos to the site..  I will still be around as I have found some helpful tips on some other things from all.
