May not come to anything, but the guy delivering my trusses this morning is a large tractor guy.  Asked him if he ever seen any Bush Hog tractors, and if his neighbor hasn't sold it, he has one his Grandpa bought new inside a shed.  He's gonna ask him about it tonight.  He thinks it's a driveshaft model, so more than likely a D4-10.  He said he's sold most of his Grandpa's old stuff and figures it'd be for sale if he still had it.  He couldn't remember any particulars about it.  fingers crossed.gif

Not getting my hopes up that high.  It could be gone, or he could think it's made of gold.  I'm made of pewter!

Can't hurt to try though. There seem to be a lot of Hogs showing up on here lately. I think more people are starting to collect them.

I hope it's long gone. Don't you have enough to do?

I'm kinda kidding. Pulling your teat, you could say.

Actually, that fact enters my mind quite often!   I have too much on my plate as it is, but old habits are hard to break.   I also have enough aches & pains, so don't be pulling my man teats!  :rolling:

You MUST get it. ALL the hogs must be saved, and preserved.

No word from the driver that told me about it, and I've been slapped out with work & problems, so I've not done any detective work.  Later I might call the truss company & get in touch with the driver.

Nothing ever came of this Bush Hog I started this thread about, BUT, my brother called me & said he found one for sale.  He never thought to take a pic & send me (Dang it!), but he said it looked just like my little D4-10's, but was much bigger, and had a large differential with fins on it.  Sounds like he found an HD!  I called the guys phone number, but no answer, so I left a message.  Hoping to hear back soon.  The guy said the engine wasn't original as it had a Kohler in it.  Someone had "C10" on the hood, but that's not right.  I sure hope I can get hold of this guy, and hope even more he does internet, or can send pics to my phone.  It's a 2 & 1/2hr drive one way, so I want pics before I go that far.
