Hello , I have a question . Will a Didier sickle bar mower work on a bolens 1886?

Some pics of the unit you are talking about would be very helpful.

 

ETA:

 

OK, I did a Google search, and the best I can say is, maybe.

 

I see that there were a number of ways that the hydraulic pump was driven,

 

If the one you are thinking about is the one that has the PTO shaft driven pump I'm guessing that you could make it work with a bit of fabrication.

 

If it's one of the ones that are belt driven, that would take a lot of work to get it to work with a Bolens Large Frame.

 

Also, are you talking about the mid mount one or the 3-pt one?

Haven't seen it yet . all I know is it came off a Simplicity 3314v . I think I can pick it up for 100 - 150 bucks . its supposed to be in very good condition . used once then stored in heated garage for yrs

That unit will be belt driven.

...and they didnt make a sickle bar for Simplicity machines, so tough to tell its configuration without pics.
