H1170 is the deck #

As the title mentions, I'm in need of 4 bearings for two of the three spindles.  Replaced two of them 12-15 years ago and they are still tight.

Does anybody know the part numbers ?  I can't seem to locate them on the bearings themselves so at this point, I'm at a loss and in looking through the JD parts online, I'm comiong up blank.

Thanks

Dave

I got deck bearings at my local Napa which was cheaper than Deere.  Consider your options.

Again, THANK you for ALL the info/links...

The bearings I was able to source locally for $6.00 each and just finished my order on Green Parts for the additional bushings needed to rebuild the idler pulleys / tensioner  and a deck belt.  Should have the #46 deck rebuild by the end of next week.

While I'm at it and waiting for parts to arrive, since everything will be apart, I'm going to clean it all up and treat it to a couple coats of JD Yellow.

Just can let this deck die as they are getting hard to find in this part of the world.  Hard to believe that it's been mowing 2.5 acres for the past 17+ years and other than two spindle bearings and a few belts, it has caused me not ONE bit of trouble.  I'll have about $60.00 and my time into a restored #46   OH happy days !

And some say it is just a color...  LOL   :smilewink:

I have the deck cleaned up and in primer.  The deflector chute is in worse shape than I was aware of.  A few little rust holes starting but at this point, the steel is to thin to even try to weld them shut.  Bearings still need to be installed and if I can locate the decals and they're not too expensive, I may get a set of them for the deck.  Small parts and pulleys still need to be cleaned and painted and then reassembled.

It was in need of attention...   :(

Painted JD Yellow and have the spindles torn down to the bearings.  Letting the PB Blaster do its' thing and will have a go on the snap rings, tonight.  Ended up mangling one of the pulleys so I have a new one on order from Green Parts.  $36.80 for one little stamped steel pulley is a bit of a stretch but I wasn't up to taking a chance on getting the other one straight. She's a worker bee and I would prefer it to work.

OH HAPPY DAY ! ! ! ! !   :dancingbanana:    :firejumper:     :rocker2:

Just won an Ebay auction for the highly RARE headlight assembly for the 108 / 111 / 116 !

Comes complete with the harness, bulbs, switch.  Everything needed to FINALLY, have headlights in my 116 5-speed.

I have been searching for over 10-years for this elusive little gem set-up and now it is soon on its' way.

I paid too much for what it is BUT, BUT BUT BUT... I now have lights.

The deck will be back together tonight if all goes well.  Waiting on the spindle drive pulley that I bent getting things apart.

This is the light setup.  I'll take pics of the deck but that may have to wait until tomorrow.

Starting to come together.  The spindle sheave finally showed up this morning so I installed them and need to tighten up the lock nuts.

Also have to finish up the belt cover.  Hopefully tonight if all goes well.

Thought I would share a picture:
