(1. Need pictures of the seat track assembly that is on the seat, I have the track on the deck pan?

(2. Paint numbers for the frame and the orange body parts?

(3. Do they make a kit so you don't have to do points and condenser on the Kohler engine like they do for the B/S 23D?

(4. Is there a place that sells all the decals that are used on a S 16H ?

(5 has any one been able to pry loose a serial number list by year?

Thanks

:D    Al

I can get you a picture of my seat mount. It might take a few days, this week is crazy busy.

I don't know of an accurate paint number for the orange.

I had found a web site that made the full set, but I can't find it tonight.

And to my knowledge there isn't a serial number list by year. I had been told that they didn't keep track of some of that in the early years. With a model number, you can narrow it down to a year or two.

Thanks I can wait on the seat track pictures.

I saw a picture of a Ariens with a custom paint job that was a beauty I thought. I may go that route as I am not all that wild about the Orange.

Was it the grey and black one on this site?

No the custom paint job one I seen was done by a crazy Arctic Cat guy. It was black with pre 1973 purple cat stripes. this guy is nuts as his boat is cat green with black strips just like his pick up.

I've been thinking of 2001 Polaris blue with silver stripes.

Need to learn about painting fiber glass first though.

Looked at my Kohler repair manual yesterday and it only goes to the 12.5, point setting I see was .18 to .20 for that model Is that the same for the 16HP.

Al,

I found a site that lists a few Ariens decals. I saw the serial label which they can put your numbers on. But I didn't see the full set.

My beat up seat.

A rod goes through the sliders on the front of the seat.

A second rod goes through the adjusting notches

Under the seat are two C channel that the rods slide through.

I have the parts that go on the fender pan. I don't have what goes on the seat, which appears is just some U channel with a couple holes for the rods.

Thanks for the picture, have a much better Idea what I need now.

Al, I can measure those two peices if you want to get them made. Its a piece that I don't remember ever seeing listed on the salvage sites.

Measurements would be great. I can probably make my own once I have measurements.

Still haven't found that glass kit I bought, think I'll go buy another one so the first one will show up then I could if found in less than 30days return the last boughten one.

Thanks a lot, got orange paint code?

New Ariens orange is darker than the older S and GT series. Kioti orange is very close, Allis Chalmers orange is close, Chevrolet Hugger orange is very close, Kubota orange is close also.
