Found this on cl , any idea what this thing is, the owner thinks it needs a head gasket?
I wonder about that. I would like to know what engine is in it and are parts available ?image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Looks like a Bolens/ Iseki. Color is wrong. Hard to say what HP it is but, the motors are made by Mitsubishi. There are very few dealers that can get parts for the whole tractor.

Good luck.

It looks like a grey market japanese with the rice paddy tires. It could be Iseki(Bolens). Check out this thread http://gardentractor...24-bolens-g174/   Good Luck, Rick

It's a 1978-80 Bolens G154. 15 hp, 3x2 manual transmission, Mitsubishi KE70 2 cylinder diesel engine. It is the 4wd version of the tractor I have, a G152.

I guess blue paint was on sale! Those are great tractors and still sell for good money. I'm not sure what the parts situation is these days. Those tires do indicate it might have been imported from Japan as a refurbished tractor. On the other hand they could have been installed as replacements here by a tractor importer who also supplies tires. It's worth checking on the history as much as possible.
