Put a pix of tractor and the attachments on here and we can make better offers! It's not going to be a Gold Mine if that is what he thinks. $500 sounds on higher side, again depending on condition and attachments.

Keep in mind a similar deal listed, does not make it sold at that price. Also, area has much to do with it, so if it was somewhere else, it may command a higher value.

As for the pictures, when you type out a post, you click on the "Post" button at the bottom to save it... About a half inch to the right is the "More Reply Options" button which has the picture upload area in it. Very simple.

That IS the late S-24 with the barn-shape hood and flat fenders. Fenders bracket must be broken? It goes to under seat mount, sometimes they break there, easy fix. Suprised it has the simple forward/reverse gear box!! Is it two speed at least??? Mine is the 3spd Warner trans turned sideways at that spot, not this older style. Speedex did lots of odd things with whatever parts on hand, so might just be diff because of that. I think you could ask the $500 or so and come close if not all of that by the looks. Running would be best, not sure if you said it ran or not?? Briggs are simple to run/start with good battery. Have you tried to run it? If runnable, I would buy a battery to sell with it, easier to get the bigger price.

It runs like a champ, Engine was rebuilt 3 years back and it was parked shortly after according to him *doubt he lies since hes a pastor*. I personally went over, cleaned what I could of the carb and old gas out of the system, put fresh stuff in and maybe 3-5turn overs, fires up but for some reason shuts down after you close choke completely which he said its done that since the day he bought it.. always had to have it open about 1/4 -1/8 way or so. Im not sure if fender bracket is broken but I can investigate. Is there a means to tell what HP the engine is? I cant seem to find an ID tag anywhere on the engine or tractor body. Thank you for the reply and any help.

I believe the plow is not a high priced object, depends some on size, but pretty generic style. The snow blade on these might be a lighter mounted style, not so heavy. OR, maybe it has a long center tube/channel that goes from blade to back of tractor?? Those are heavier and better. I really think it will be the lighter one tho for this vintage. You didn't have pix, but don't think they add much to value. Try them seperate, or offer to sell when fella is looking at the tractor for a few dollars more??  Most plows can be gotten for these for about $35 as I've seen, the snow blades might go little more depending which one it is. Perhaps you could look at ebay and see if anything for sale there and get ideas of prices?  Usually not much on there, but at times there are some offers. I use "Speedex tractors" as my search. Just Speedex gets you all kinds of odd items like Cameras and such.
