Hello, I am trying to help a friend sell his 1972 speedex tractor, the motor was rebuilt 3 years ago but has been parked for the past 2 1/2 years. It runs good and starts right up. It has snow chains for the rear tires, a garden plow and snow plow that come with it. Is there any chance someone could give me a ball park figure to ask for the tractor and accessories? The paint isnt bad but could definitely use cleaned up, other than that tho.. there are no visual defects. Thank you

Welcome to the forum. Pictures and a model would be a big plus to finding info.

Thank you for the welcomes =) I can try to get a pic but not sure how fast I can get it. Im not sure on model.. I've never messed with speedex's before.. is there a means to tell? Like under the seat there would be a model # or under the hood? Thank you and please forgive my ignorance

If you can't find a model number, pictures from all 4 sides, tire sizes, engine sizes will help.

But...but...but....I thought you were selling out and getting out of the hobby?? Selling 2 and buying 3 isn't going to get that done!  :poke:   :smilewink:

Well......Speedex and Power Kings are SPECIAL and don't go by that Rule! :smilewink:  Woops! Slipping here.... already have two dead Speedex's to work on, guess I don't need more. (But this one was running!).

Ok what I found on the tractor in terms of numbers is S24, I was wrong tho.. the hood does have a small amount of surface rust starting but other than that its not in bad shape body wise, Im just trying to find a rough starting price for the man so I can post it for him on our local classifieds. Like I said its got the 2 different plows and snow chains for the rear wheels that go with it as well he says, Thank you all for any help with this =)

Honestly if it was mine i would put it on ebay and see what happens, I've done that with several of mine in the past.

I see.. I dont think eBay is an option for this gentleman, best idea Ive found so far for a similar deal was $500, that was the speedex but it had a mowing deck *which his doesnt* and a snow plow, his has the snow plow and garder plow and chains, I dont know if posting for $500 for everything and then let someone talk him to an agreed price is fair or not.. wish I knew more about tractors
