I am working on a friends mower.  it has a spicer transaxle model 4360-212CH and the input shaft bearings had gone bad, chewed up the top case a little.  I need to replace the bearing but JD has no part # for it on their web site and the shaft assy you can get is $120 without he bearings.

I can get another transaxle on e-bay but it is for a L100, will it fit??  Another transaxle for the d100 new is $380.  Would like to do this as cheap as possible.

A local bearing shop should be able to help you out. Also, have you tried the trans. manufacturers site. Have a look on jdparts.com for the L100 and D100 parts diagrams and see if part numbers match for the transmission.

I am going to have to go to jd for it, called the locale napa and the bearing is NLA.  got to thinking about it, $130 for the entire shaft assy isn't to bad really.  Besides it isn't my money :D   Thank's anyhow
