so I have what I think is a bolens g-10. it has a model- hh 100-115181D  serial -2312E Tecumseh engine. my question is,,, did the g-10,s come with positrac ?  theres no big wingnut to tighten or loosen on the left rear hub.im having problems finding out what year it is because the last owner took the tag off the frame.thanks.

Most G10's did not have the Locking Differential.

Going to be next to impossible to date this one as she's pretty hacked up.......

They were made 1973-1977/1978

The TEC HH100-115181D  is the proper engine for the 1973 - 1975 G10.  The 1976 and 1977 used a B&S engine,

The G10 does have the freewheeling pin.  It looks like the casting for that one was broken, which can happen, hence the nut and bolt modification.

The G8, G10, and G11 did not have the controlled differential.
