Got all the issues with C-175 figured out for the 14 hp single K engine. finally re-figured the wiring for start and charging. Made longer choke and throttle cables that had to swing under engine and up to carb. All safety swtiches still working and all. Lights work in rear and tested front with single bulb and all is good. Here's some pictures. This is going to be the Wife's tractor and we are looking a Metallic Blue and diff accent for color, ewwwww! I like Red! Have to come up with clever name for it to have on the decals. I DO want to keep the Black Hood, I like that. OR, might be able to be a Silver or Grey color if right one was found. Might be same on wheels then to go with???

Forgot one thing. Anyone have a pix or drawing of how the battery is held in? It had stops there for one, then I see some small holes near front of shelf that could be for j-hooks for the sides and use a crossbar then at top? BUT, with this style battery, thinking terms are in way big time. IF, I got one of those reversed term batts, those would be in back closer to dash and the cross-bar could lay accross the plain side of battery, OR, have seem some with a small angle that lays along one edge to push down and back at same time. Maybe that is what is needed? Definately needs something, it shook out of position a few times messing around while driving.Think a C-105 or C-125 should be same as what I want. There's now manuals here for that models of tractors to see.

On the JD 314 and 317 I have I used j bolts and a piece of 1/8 x 1" angle across the back edge of the battery to hold it down. This is the stock setup and was missing on both tractors when I got them. It's easy to make and works really well.
Here's what that looks like. Post #163 has a couple of pictures of the battery hold down.
