Just got back inside from round one . Couldn't get the back door open far enough to step outside. So had to shovel a path from the front door to the back of the house. Snow was 12" deep against the garage door. Drifts are 2-3 feet. The only powered piece of equipment I have running is an old Hahn-Eclipse walk behind blower. It started on the third pull of the rope start. I made a path down the drive, about 40 foot, to the front of the house. (passing by my "not running 1050" w/ end loader). Wind is still blowing too much to do any further work right now. Besides, even if I could get out of my drive, the State Police have several of the roads closed. The plow truck just went past for the first time, this morning. Hard to tell how much snow we actually got, because of all the drifting.

It moved in here about two hours ago. They say we could get up to 45 cm of snow before it is over, and the wind is going to come up just some it can blow the snow around and make drifts.

Just got back in from doing the driveway. Had about 3-4'' of heavy/sleet snow. I started out with the 900, then I got into some ice and the tractor just kept spinning and I couldn't push it any further down the driveway. So I parked the 900 and got out the 1050 with the blower to finish the job.

Note to self: Never trust the weather Guessers..... They were calling for 8-12'' by this morning and we only got about 3-4'' LOL

Officially, we got 9", I'd guess more like 5-6", pretty hard packed as it was a fine snow & the wind! Went out this morning (10*) & cleared our drive with the 74-112 w/37A blower. ~~ grnspot110

Sorry you guys got it all, as we only got rain this time with high winds. Shoot I'll have to get the breaking plow out and get ready for the Garden.

For some reason we can't really get any snow here in south central PA. We got freezing rain last night and made things pretty slick and kids have a 2 hour delay for school. If we can't get a good snow storm I am ready for spring.

:ditto: If it's gonna be cold---- I want snow!!!

we got a little more than 0.25" of ice tuesday. trees are loaded heavy. luckily we didn't lose power like a lot of folk have.

I did come home from taking the baby to the doctor to find this across the driveway.

I will have to replace 1 piece of metal, but am lucky to not have more damage. My wife said I should change my plans and put my stove pipe exit there since I had been to chicken to make a hole in the roof.

Wow, that's a scarey thing to come home to. Ice is the worst. Lucky you didn't get more damage. Very Smart to take lots of Pics for the insurance Co. Is that a Willow tree? Those are the worst threat to come down.
