I have had the 318 set up with a remote starter switch for a few years and decided to put it back to stock before selling the old girl. The old switch was starting it but got more finicky till it would no longer work at all. That is when I switched it over to a push button start. Got a new key switch today from JD Dealership and installed it and it powers up the lights, but will not start it. I checked and rechecked things.

I took an Ohm meter to the switch and I can find where the power will go to another post but when I turn the key to the start position, no connection to any other ports.

Could this be a bad part? Or am I missing something?

If yours is like the one I have the power in is the left one below single one in cluster of 5 hook your ohm meter to that and the single post above it in the cluster of 5 is the starter the purple wire. People have said they have got bad switches out of the box before.
