I don't think the color is quite right. I don't believe "Hunter Green" was an option.

Your correct, thats not the right color.

 

Seems like Hunter Green is used by alot of people when they are looking to do a fast paint job. I dont know why......

Well Doug .....  the paint color has been an active subject for some time now and after extensive research, a lot of money spent on sample paint and testing, the final color sure looks like you may be right !

Yeah, the early Bolens colors did look very similar to the Deere colors.

 

I doubt that there is any way to confirm it, but I'm guessing that when Bolens changed from the Green/Yellow color scheme in the early 60's just before JD started making GTs it was because they didn't want their tractors to be confused with an inferior product :D :D :D
