Guys, I have literally spent about 6 hours online searching for info on the 30138 snow thrower (specifically how to mount it to my ST140 tractor) and a parts list. Can anyone help me with reference materials or even pics of their own setup so I can determine what parts are missing that I will need, and how to find them?

Thanks a bunch.

Cheers,
Phil

I don't have a ST140 but there are plenty of knowledgeable Bolens guys on here who should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Just in case do you have any pics of the tractor and the snow thrower? Might be able to help you out going by the pics of the equipment.

Here's a link to the ST service manual... If your scroll to page 68 it has your model blower in it.

Thanks for the quick replies guys!
I called a local shop, who faxed me the exploded view and parts list, and I then typed the website in from the page header and started an avalanche of info flowing.
I found no less than 3 sites, each one better than the last, with better pics, and even real time inventory and pricing.

I've since located the parts manuals on line at these sites:

Parts and Diagrams for Troy-Bilt 30138R 38" SNOWTHROWER ATTACHMENT (S/N 0100101-0199999)

http://www.searspart.../00048373/00001

Outdoor Power Equipment Parts from MTD - Find Snowblower Parts, Mower Parts and More

It still doesn't show exactly how the unit connects to the tractor, but I have figured it out. I will need to make parts as they aren't available. If you happen to know where I could find some NOS parts, or a good supplier of used ones, I'd appreciate that info.

I hope this info is useful to others as you can likely find your own Bolens unit on one of those lists - just have to be diligent.

Cheers,
Phil
