isn't so little anymore. Just got word that our daughter has said yes to her longtime boyfriend who asked her to marry him tonight. We are so very happy for them and so proud of her and all that she has accomplised in her life. I actually knew it was comming because he called me last night to ask permission to marry her. We have known for a few years that this would happen but they were just waiting until their job situations were stable enough to support them. She put herself through Community College for a 2 year degree, graduated with honors in the Honor Society and then on to The University where she worked and received scholapships to earn her Bachelors Degree in Human Resourses. We helped her as much as we could with money but she really said she wanted to do it on her own so she could exprience that part of her life without being a burden to her parents. She now is Benifits Director for a major Sporting Goods retailer here in Michigan. Her Fiance is employed as a Painter with his families painting business. He has been do ing so off and on since he was old enough to hold a paint brush. He is very dedicted and detail oriented in his profession. He plans on opening his own business when his father retires soon.

I sit back and see where she has come fro and the things she has overcome in her life to get to a position at this point in her life. I couldn't be prouder of her and as always she has my love and support. Just thought I needed to shre some good news. Maybe in a year or so there will be another grandchild for us to spoil.                                                                                                                 Thanks for  reading.                                                                                                                         Roger.

Roger, your tractors will be much more fun when all the little grandkids want to jump on and go for a ride!

Congratulations to your daughter!

My little girl is going to England to work for a year. Not happy about her going away, but what ever my little girl wants , that's what she gets. She is doing very good at paying her way, we will help with what ever else she needs. Noel.

Congratulations to you and your daughter.

Congrats to everyone!  Sounds like you are gaining a good son-in-law.  These kids grow up so fast.  Seems like yesterday I was making my youngest daughter walk on the ceiling (she used to love that) and here yesterday she just passed her driver's test.  Oy!

Congratulations! It's a very special event, my son in law also asked me for my daughter's hand, but there is nothing that can prepare you for seeing her in that dress on that day. My baby girl asked for me in her dressing room, I went in, she turned around and I turned into a big blubbering baby!
