Hope you all are safe in the storm.

Grand, I hope the Mrs gets top notch care and recovers well. My thoughts are with you both.

Grand, Best of luck with the roads getting the wife to the surgery and hope all goes well and her recovery is speedy! We'll keep you all in our prayers.

Well, I went to work this morning... We ended up with about 1/8" of ice, under 4" of snow and topped off with just plain old rain! Boy was that some wet snow I had to get off of the car this morning! The snow was half embedded in the ice underneath it too! I made it to work at 6:59...I start at 7:00 LOL! Whew! The roads were just fine, until I crossed the county line...then it was slow going from there. But the important thing is that I made it to and from in one piece. Now for the next wave which could be a lot more ice than this one, finally ending up in snow tomorrow evening.

We just got home from the surgery and so far everything is going well. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. The doctor said he used 12 screws and two plates. The third fracture went back into place when he was moving the other bones, so he didn't want to do anything special to that area. Said the cast will hold it in place. She is not suppose to put any weight on it for two months which is what I just went through. We've been married 38 years and are even sharing similar injuries.
