New to forum....and to panzer tractors....just got my first one. Its the larger frame....200 series? and a briggs 9hp engine...a little worn, but all original paint ...weathered and rusted......but I LIKE IT!!!    Also what is the connection between Pennsylvania panzers and copar panzers ? Are they not two different companys??  Thanks  If anyone can tell me the specific model I have....and possibly year that would be great!!!!

Welcome to GTTalk.

The quick answer to the Copar / Pennsylvania question: Copar was the original company.  They were purchased by Virginia Metalcrafters who subsequently purchased Pennsylvania Lawnmowers and combined the two companies under the Pennsylvania Products name.  So you end up with tractors labeled as Copar Panzer, Panzer, and Pennsylvania Panzer depending on what year they were produced.

I know the smaller tractors fairly well but I don't know how to tell the various 100 and 200 models apart.  According to the site listed above your 200 series would have been produced somewhere between '57 and '60.

Here's the history from the source:  http://www.dandysale..._of_Panzers.pdf

Dandy Sales is pretty much THE source for Panzer parts and its in your home state.  Jim essentially owns what is left of Panzer.  He's got all the engineering drawings, most of the company records, a lot of the original molds, and what's left of the factory parts.

Welcome to GTTALK. Good solid looking Panzer. Are you gonna leave it like it is or repaint it?
