Also, the hood says "Squire 7" on it, I assuming that is correct and it's really a Seven, so I changed the 9 to a 7

Your eyes are much better then mines, the Squire 7 makes sense seeing as the Briggs model 19D is 7.25 hp hence the number 7 on the hood, that tractor is a rebranded Gilson, as to which model i don't know, some of the other members should be able to help further in regards to the tractor.

 

The paint job looks good.

 

Mines is the Squire 9, a rebranded Simplicity landlord, that is why i was a little confused.

Thats a Springfield built Squire....quite a bit rarer than a Simplicity. Its original skin looked pretty darn good! Still, as a repainted Springfield it is a collectible machine, but will be tough to call a Squire anymore. I collect the bronze machines and have them in a couple manufacturer's skins, and thats probably in the top 3 for scarcity. Many companies rebadged tractors for Wards.
