After cleaning up my tractor shed some yesterday I stumbled across my 1855 project.
I showed it some daylight and brought it into my main shop.
Tonight I started to fab up some of the hard lines for the cooling system.
I bought the copper about a year ago, don't ask me why it took so long to use it?

Aha! Progress, at last! Now I have to re-read the first 3 pages to remember what was going on here!

Today I got the rad pipes and all soldered up and clamped down. I need to find a few more spring type hose clamps to finish that up.

I also extended the wires for the voltage regulator and mounted the regulator under the battery tray.

When I welded the cast iron rear end housing back a while ago it started leaking. I probably over heated the seals? So, today I decided to pull that off and replace it with a new one I bough that came off of a JD420. Now I need to find new seals, I should probably get new bearing too while I have it apart.

The bearings were really expensive and the old ones did not feel too bad. So, I will put the bearings in the parts washer and re-use them. The seals were not cheap either, but I have no choice on those.... Inner and outer seals for both sides were almost $50 shipped. Ouch! Debating on whether to powder coat or paint the axle tubes?

I guess it depends on how you define progress. I have not given up on it, and I would like to finish it, however....

In 2015, I sold my house in Maryland and moved to PA. Quit my job after 13 years of employment at the same place and was hired at new job in Pa doing something new.

I started a shop/garage addition (28'x32') to my new (to me) house. Along with about a million other house remodel and landscape projects.

So, I have been a bit busy and distracted from this project, but I did move the tractor, along with all the stock pile of parts, to the new house. I am just waiting for time and my new shop to be done, in order to continue.

Here is a pic of my new shop build progress as of yesterday.
