Just my luck I got sprayed by a skunk while pulling plants in the garden.

Who'da thought, but I found out the hard way too that skunks like cantaloupe. Washed myself and the dog at the same time with a product from the local Co-op called Skunk Off. It's meant for dogs but worked on me too, lol. Sad part was I was forced to throw out my favourite ratty old pair of blue jeans!

I harvested 35 watermelons this year and only sold 6 .

I gave most to the homeless shelter but still got 10 in the fridge

Guess it takes too long to chill a watermelon!

 

 I was thinking on the same lines , take one watermelon , cut it in plastic containers  and sell it for twice what it would have sold for whole . But then it would need to be kept cold so maybe not worth the effort

It really dry I don't think I will plant a fall garden I'm going to start packing stuff up for the move

Decided to plant a fall garden today we are moving raised bed into the greenhouse to grow the greens. I still got to go buy some tomato plants.

Well that was a bad idea. I decided to go and till in between the rows but I have a bad cold and that made it worst. On another note I got tons of turnip greens and radishes. Black circle - Turnip Greens Red Circle - Radishes.
