the motor #  is 143.105011  Serial 0661178  he's having a problem trying to figure out how to remove what's under the flywheel some type of block on the crankshaft  keeping them from getting the cover for the points off . .I can't picture what he's talking about . Could the flywheel have come apart ?

Sounds like a flywheel key or a points cam to me.  Both can be a bit stubborn.  The flywheel key is best removed with a pair of vice grips to act as a puller.  I made a special cam puller for my engines, it grabs at the base like a miniature gear puller so you don't screw it up pulling it out.  The points cam is under the points cover.   The only reason I mention it is because the little aluminum cover should slide right over the flywheel key, so I don't know what a key would stop him.

The 143-105011 model number is not a good model number for my old cross reference.  They start at 122xxx.
