Hi all,

I just got a Ford 100 and I'm working on getting the deck going, and I'm missing two things. The first looks like in the back of the deck there should be a 3/4" pin that goes from the lifting bracket to the deck? Does anyone have a picture? I can make that fairly easly. I'm also missing the piece that goes between the lift handle and the deck. From what I've seen it looks like a eye bolt with a bend in it to go through the deck list handle. Does anyone have pictures or specs on these. I can make both, it would just be a lot of easier to make it I had something to start with. I'll try to post pictures tonight

I just took mine apart, so I have lots of pics and can get more. Is this the thing you're talking about (not the cotter pin, but the eye-hole pin that is lifting the deck). If not I can get a pic of something else for you.

Joe,

That is exactly what I'm talking about. Any way you can get a measurement from the eye to the bend? I'm going to make one out of an eye bolt. Also do you have any pictures of how the mounting bracket attaches to the back of the deck? I think mine is missing a piece or two. I stuck a 3/4" rod through the piece in the bracket and bolted it through the hole drilled in the deck, but now the deck stays raised up. I have a picture but I can't get it to upload.

Thanks for your help already

I guess it did post the picture twice. Sorry it's not very good. I forgot to take one before I put the deck back on

Here's the eye-bolt part (same part twice, once with tape included)

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm wondering

if you can help me out here Joe. I'm not even sure if we're talking

about the same deck.

Thanks

Sorry all for the lack of updates. I got the two pieces I was describing at the start of this thread, but the deck doesn't function properly. It seems to bind up when trying to lift with the lift handle. The slide mechanism on the two pulleys that keep tension on the deck drive belt are free so I assume that isn't the issue. I was wondering if maybe the 3/4 inch rod at the back of the lift hanger I installed wasn't correct. Does anyone have specs on that, or if a rod is even supposed to be there. Here are some pictures

I have the same deck on a ford120 and I am here for the same reason. I cleaned up the slide and the deck raised and lowered 2 or 3 times, then bound up. Its not the slide. There is something else. 1 thing I noticed is the handle to raise the deck engages late. The first 2 detents do nothing. The arm must be half way through its range bwforw the deck starts to move. There is a mystery adjustment or something is backwards. My ford 120 came with the deck on it. I can take pics of whatever you like. Im glad we are all working on it.

Yes mine is the same, doesn't start lifting until the handle is half way up. Can you take a picture of the back portion with the rod? I would like to see what that's supposed to look like. I just drilled a hole in the rod I made and bolted it on with a bolt. I was wondering if maybe that is giving some and causing the lift to bind up.
