I bought some Valspar cub cadet yellow for my 147 and it was a bit too pale and seems to be a close match for the Allis. Yup, this is a spray bomb job, but this paint seems to be easy to work with except for the crappy spray nozzle. The paint sprays fine, but the nozzle takes a lot of pressure to push and cramps your finger. I'm using ACE rust stop primer and the Valspar paint seems to like it. Prep work and moving fast when painting is important to get a decent finish. Shake the heck out of the cans, too. So far I'm surprised at the results! Here's some pics of the dash tower that I painted yesterday, with and without the flash. Also, here's a pic of the frame and the top of the foot rest to show how well the color matches the original Allis yellow on this big Ten. This last picture shows the actual true color of the paint.
