I have been thinking it would be interesting to see the variations of the dash knobs etc. I have several with different knobs etc. I have a pretty good idea what is original, but be interested to see what you have.

Interesting

looks like they used the same Locking Throttle cables as Bolens did except these ones were black.

Is the heavy duty "T" lock in the one picture original?

I think for some models they were. Probably ought to post serial number along with the dash picture so we can get and idea when they changed.

Sorry I've not taken the time to get dash pics, but ALL of my tractors, D, T, and V series have the push button start in the chrome dashes.

Scott, the only D series tractor I have that uses the key switch to start the engine is the D4-12. All of the D4-10s use the push button.

All of mine, both D (with the exception of the D4-12) and V series have push button start.

I stand corrected, serial #9397 had a key switch, but that's the only 1 and it's my newest D4-10.
