I bought this g8 at an auction today. That bad is its got a broken axle. Anyone know what transaxle it uses? The good it came with a blade and wheel weights. It doesn't look like the blade was ever used much. Are the weights bolens or after market?

Peerless Model 623 and 623A transaxle. Also known as the Peerless 600.

They are a very heavy built transaxle for they're size.I used to use them in all my Go-Fast tractors when I was a bit younger.

Manual for the G8.

Looks identical to the 3 speed peerless transaxles used in alot of the smaller Wheel Horse and earlier MTD built Lawn Tractors.

Wheel Weights look correct for the Small frame Bolens. It's really hard to tell though without some casting numbers.

:ditto:

On the Peerless

The weights are original from what I can tell, if not they should fit some of the newer LT series Bolens as well.
