Will the seat from a MF 7 or 8 fit a 12 ? My metal shell has severe rust damage to the point of metal gone. I thought about patch welding to extend it back out to original but came across one for the 7 & 8's for a fair price.

I think they are different. I know there were several versions of the seat for the 12 also

The 7/8 will take a standard generic low back tractor seat. I put one on mine last year. Not sure what the 12 needs.

I wish you had of brought this up sooner. I was in PA last weekend, at Alan's

tractor show. I could have brought one down. Shipping from there would have

been reasonable. It would have needed upholstery, but that's easy enough.

There is a guy in PA. that has the pattern.

Are you in a rush, or can it wait a month or 2?

And what year is the tractor / what style did it have originally?

Mine is a 1968 MF12 Hydro. I have the two piece metal seat pan that has the back extension. My seat has been reupholstered but nothing close to the original ribbed seat. My seat pan on the front edges have severe rust damage. The bottom pan itself is what I'm mainly looking for. If I could find something close to original seat & pan that would be great. If you look at the Agco site there were several seat styles offered depending what serial number, model & tranny  you have.  My part numbers are 37 & 38 on the seat diagram for the 12. I have even seen some with a white center piece on the bottom of the seat. Will I'm definitely not in a hurry right now so let me know when you seen something. I never really gave the seat much thought about trying to go original just didn't want to have to do a repair job on the pan I have. Thanks everyone for your help.

Here is my seat , notice I have the extension adjusted down.
