We decided that our utility tractor was more tractor than we would ever need here in town.  So down the road she went.  My wife's father bought it new in 1977.  We have owned it for the past 14 years.

Now I'll be looking for something with a FEL, or make one to fit one of my G.T.'s.    Rick

IH 574 gas tractor with IH 2250 loader.

The wife had to go sit on it one last time just before they loaded it.

The neighbor lady was even sad to see it go.

That's sad after having it around for so long. But you have many good memories about it. They seem to become part of the family some how. Noel

Every one of the grandkids have been for a ride on that tractor at lesat once.  When the wife worked at the bank i picked her up on that tractor a few times. (She refused to ride in the bucket for some reason). :D   Rick

I can feel your sadness to see her go.  But I'd say you did the right thing.

That had to be hard but sounds like you done the right thing especially if you get something you can really use in it's place. That was funny about the bucket ride from the bank.
