Did you figure out what engine that is?

It looks like a real live Red Horse.  :dancingbanana:

still trying to figure that out. the numbers I found on the engine are. mod. 418-0301-024, ser. 10585887a. I cant find anything on those numbers.

Ha!  We found a Red Horse descendent then!  No wonder the sounds it made running sounded so good to my ears.

Is the number 418-1301?  That is a good Clinton model.

I have a parts IPL PM'd to you.

I will look again. I thought it was 418-0301-024. the numbers are hard to read. what are the chances of finding a blower housing? the bottom of mine is rusted away. I don't know if its been tampered with or not this one has a re-coil on it. I figured it would be one of those you had to wrap the rope yourself. and the gas tank is a split tank  gas/kerosene is in bad shape.

It might be possible to find a blower housing, but don't hold your breath.  These engines are not exactly common.  The recoils were available, but also not common.  There's a high chance the blower shroud then is special for your engine.

Can you seal the tank and almost recreate the liner that way?

i looked at the last page you sent me and my model number is there. it has footnote 6&7 with it telling me about a special tank and recoil. so i would say this motor came like this. what hp would this be?
