Well, Anybody can go out and Buy a Snowblower or Plow if you got $$$$$$$....But... Necesity Being the Mother of Invention.....and there being no $$$$ ....Like to see what you guys have put togeather over the years to cope with the White Stuff.
Here's a Picture of something you don't see every day...a 1973 VW Beetle Plow that I built & used for many years as my only Snow Plow. This is the Only Picture I have of it, what a shame....
The Plow itself was made from a 40 gal steel Water Tank and scrap angle iron,, I raised and lowered it with a Hand crank & cable set up. had Chains on the back and the back seat area was Filled With Scrap Metal for weight. This was 20 years ago and People here still talk about it.
Town Plow trucks use to stop in the road to watch me with this beauty!

Pretty cool....Giving me ideas.......I have an old beat up S10 Blazer that I have a 6 ft plow on........Its a Meyers, that I bought in pieces, so have pretty much rebuilt it a few times over the last 15 years....The Blazer has had it and am looking for something else to put plow on.......

I did build a small grader blade for my Ford LGT.........

Hey Poncho, That Grader Blade is Realy Nice...Think I'll be stealing that idea......just a thought, with no down pressure, you may want to add some weight to it.

So far, its worked pretty good as is....If I need more weight, I can just put my size 12s down on it.......lol

That was an ingenious idea DanO! Nice job! I'm sure that it attracted a crowd.

That's very inventive & I love the fact that you still have a pic of it.

Maybe next time, instead of scrap steel, you could fill the back with clowns for weight...

Just Kidding, thanks for sharing.
