I got this motor from a good friend. He said sell it and we will split the money. Well.....trying to decide where to sell it or keep it and give him the money. It came off a Walker or other mower. No muffler....but it would fit my Terramite so would be a good back up motor for me. If I do decide to buy it from him, what is a fair price?? I have no idea on the hours.....I sold a CH20 back 6 months or so ago for $400....I was going to use it as a back up, but space was an issue and decided to let it go.......one of my local tractor guys was here sunday.....he saw the motor and said if you decide to sell it let me know....so at the right price, it will obviously sell..Anybody got any thoughts on this?? Sell it or keep it?? Price range??? He is a good friend so I would have to pay him half of a fair price....he would do the same for me.

A CH25 is one heck of a good engine.  You can still get them new for almost $2900.

I'd say whoever go the CH20 for four got an excellent price.

If the engine looks like it wasn't abused and worked hard, I would say it could clear anywhere from $500 to $1000.

What kind of PTO end does the crank use?  That is critical to determine what it could power.

I would keep it! You would be getting a great motor for half price. untitled kohler ch25s.png
