Just brought this home today. Have a project in mind for it. Did Wheel horse just change the pulley or the gearing in the transmission for the small tires?

In my experience, they did change the gearing. I replaced the stock rear end in mine with a rear end that used 12" wheels, and had to go bigger on the motor pulley to get back the speed I needed (I pull with mine).

Early Lawn Rangers used the same transmissions as the other tractors at the time so no change there.
