I thought I had asked and posted this a few days ago but now I do not see my post so I will start this one.

I have a 1750 watt Kohler generator. In my other post I had listed the numbers that I have off my machine;  I don't have that in front of me right now, can add in later.
All I know is that it is powered by a K91 4 HP Kohler. On the engine is a model and spec number but no serial number.  There is however a serial number on the generator portion itself  that does not follow the format for engine serial numbers that is listed in the Sticky on telling the age of a K series engine.

I would like to know if one of the numbers on the generator portion that will answer this question.

I picked this unit up cheap a year ago  it obviously has very low run time on it, very clean condition

This is going to be my "camping" generator.

Not really, most generator companies changed engines like teen do clothing but still using the same gen head.

A picture of the unit will help with the dating.

no it was way more recent than that one.... like a couple days before I started this one. and just about the age of my unit, it included the numbers off my engine and the generator.

It is a KOHLER engine and a KOHLER generator.
