Here are the rules:

  • Tractor being nominated must not have been a featured in the last 12 months.
  • You must have at least three posts in the forums which makes you a full member
  • You need 2 photos attached to your post as attachments, not linked from another site, the year make and model, and a brief description of your history with the tractor and what you use it for most.

We will accept up to 5 nominations, this thread will be closed after the 5th nomination. Once 5 nominations are made we will start a new thread for the voting. Voting will run to the end of the current month and on the 1st of the following month the winner will be featured in our Featured Tractors section.

Rules subject to change to better work for everyone. Good luck!

I'd like to nominate my 1966 Massey Ferguson 10. This tractor started the "bug" for me. I couldn't resist it just sitting there at the end of someone's driveway, looking like a cute mini-Massey. My father-in-law hammered out a deal with his neighbor and I was in business. I really enjoyed researching information about it and meeting and chatting with so many good people out there who only want to help where they can. That got me hooked on the hobby. I completely tore down the whole tractor except for the transmission. There seemed to be nothing there so I left it intact. Most of the tractor was blasted at a friend's house. I primed it in small piece batches and somehow on the last good day to paint in 2008, I gave it it's last covering behind my garage. The bug gods were good to me as I only noticed one set of legs stuck in the paint when I was done. I completely rebuilt the engine and had the crank ground .20 under. It just barely passed at that grind so I got lucky. Someone had already bored once and installed a .010 piston. I re-ringed and was good to. So far he's made it to our "Drive Your Tractor to School" day and our city's summer parade. I plan to restore the snowblower I picked up and attach that in the future.

I'd like to nominate my Bolens 1050.
I bought this tractor 2 years ago from a guy locally. It was in rough shape. I got a deck, tiller and sno-caster with it all for $75.
Unfortunately I never thought of taking any "Before pictures" of what it looked like before it was restored. :wallbanging: I had a guy I know blast the parts for me, and I did the rest. The painting, and re-assembly. This was the first tractor I restored. I was pleased with the way everything turned out. It was fun hunting for those hard to find NOS parts .I was lucky enough to get the rear tires from a seller on ebay for a fair price. The tires are like new. I restored the Deck also. Here are the pics, enjoy :)

We still need 3 more nominations. I know it is a little difficult with the site just starting out but once the site starts growing I would imagine it being hard to get a spot on the nomination list.

Okay, I'll toss in my nomination for the only restored tractor I own. The 1970 MF-12...

I bought it as a rusty bucket with plans to restore it. After 3 years of work I finished the restoration. I use it to plow, throw snow, till, haul wood and just about everything except mow.
It might look like a trailer queen, but I use it hard.

Ok, I'll fill the slate with my Bush Hog JBI. Customized with a Wisconsin TJD twin, and I built a rear PTO for running my tiller. I plow garden & till garden with her. I now have red painted rear wheel weights mounted that are not in pics. Decals I made myself also.
