Once again, I decided to tackle 2 Restorations this year (Ridemaster & Mow-Pak)

I began diss assembly of the Bolens Mow-Pak attachment  got from a guy who used to frequent here on the site, after changing hands for the past few years the Mow-Pak finally found its final resting place and will be brought back to life.

Here's the first few pictures of the tear down, Ran in to a big problem though! I was planning on getting new wheels and the rears have the gears welded right to the wheel itself! The white wheel was replaced at a later date and I thought it was aftermarket but after taking it off you can see what was left of the original Bolens sticker.

Guess I'm going to have to do some searching!

You just have to love Bolens dedication to quality, They used a heavy duty worm gear to drive the rear wheels when most brands just used a cheap pinion gear for their self propelled mowers!

What color green and yellow was that Till Pak, Brian?  They look like a good match together.

I've never really thought about self propelled mower drives. That Bolens setup does look robust and it's still compact.

Wow that is really neat. I never heard of one before. You will have a really unique item to display at the shows. I look forward to seeing it all done.

I had never seen one of these until you posted it - then on my quest to find something bolens related today I came across this ad. http://cincinnati.cr...4456606968.html No mower - but still pretty cool after seeing your restoration.

What attachments did they make for these? That mower is really cool, and very solid looking. Obvious proof that quality and craftsmanship is a thing of the past :(

Those belong to a guy that dosen't come on here anymore.

He was supposed to scrap them if no one bought them on ebay but I guess he still has them :D

There were 3 attachments for these, Mow Pak, Till Pak, Snow Pak

Looking good, Brian. That's a neat little machine.

I really like that metallic green, thanks for figuring it out, it looks great on my Rideamatic.
