What does anyone know about a Moto Mower Terra Handle?  All I know is that the handle and engine lift off to power different attachments.  I also know it is rather neat looking.

The main unit (handle and engine) has a model tag of 61-800.  The engine is a Clinton VS3100.  Which makes me happy because it has my favorite engine make on board.

Tell me about this machine.   When was it made?  Is it a hard to find piece since no one knows nothing online anywhere about it?

What is the job of the wheel contraption it is sitting on?  It has a PTO point out front.  I suspect that was the attachment to pull a plow or cultivator, but I'm guessing.  The serial tag is in French, also.  Why is that?  Export ready machinery?

The tire tread scores high on the "really neat" scale:

This is the vacuum/sweeper attachment minus the bag.

The tiller is as close to NOS Moto Mower as probably can be found.  Barely used, if ever used.  :dancingbanana:

Ben; look at the top tag in your third picture. The machine was made in France. Probably just imported by Moto-Mower....Dave

That's really cool - I saw one just like that on ebay, but was way too far away to consider.

The engine started today for the first time in a long time!  Being a Clinton, it fired up on the 2nd pull even after those years of neglect.  I love those engines.  It took a little carb polishing, but I think it's a winner.

I also took it off the wheeled unit and dropped the handle part onto each attachment just for kicks and giggles.  I even ran the vacuum for a minute.

I think I am going to find it a new home.  It really does need one.  I don't want to repaint or restore it since it is still original and it can only do that once.  I'll let a Moto Mower collector make that call.
