Another Bolens on my "Wish list" was taken off today as I finally got my Bolens Orbit Air Mower!!!!!!!! :dancingbanana:

I have been looking for one of these for years and finally managed to find one

This one is a 1968 which is in very good condition for its age. All the plastic controls look new and there is no rust spots under the deck at all. The guy who had this took real good care of it.

Fired right up and cuts great

Anyone else on here have one?

Cost in 1968:  $155.00  Calculate inflation and today this mower would be $ 1056,13 !

I'm sure there probably isn't too many of those left being a push mower especially one in that nice original condition

I have 3 written down as existing.... this makes 4.

now you need to find a bolens convertible mower setup to round out your collection! That's something I can say I have never seen except in literature would be pretty neat to have

OK, what's the Big Deal??  Was thinking by title this was gonna be one of those wheeless air floating rigs.  What's the deal that is so special with this Regular self drive Mower?   :poke:

I have seen an actual picture of one with the reel in the center that was dated 06' so it still may be alive somewhere......

Have you seen another one? :D They made alot of them but now they are hard to find as most were used and thrown away.

Bolens patented the first mulching mower design to eliminate bagging. The special Baffles, blade and deck shell would make the clippings so fine you didnt need a bag

I can only speculate but with the space ship like look of the deck they coined the term orbit air.

Nice find there I had one from the mid 70s but the engine was junk on it and the rest of the mower was in bad shape I scraped it last summer.

Was it one of the yellow ones?
