Ok, This will get me caught up, after this my posts will be "live".

First I did some hi-light painting. I know its not original but I like the idea of some accent color

.flywheel painting 4.jpg

I wanted to put some of the heat sheilds on before I got to far, those bottom bolts are tough to get to. I saw the fuel line ran behind the flywheel and shroud so I put it in while it was easy.

Then it was time to get the tires back on it so I could roll it out of the way and let my wife back in the garage

.dash tower 015.jpg

That is how it sits right now. I am working on the dash tower so I can get it installed and then rewire it and start it up again. Also I will be sand blasting the rest of the tin, priming sanding and painting. I will try to post pics as it goes along so I do not get behind and my questions will be more timely.

Thanks to all for the kind words. So far this has really been a blast.

The Bolens is looking really nice Don.

I do like the accent color. I almost painted the motor on dad's 1053 black to help break up all of the white but decided not to. You are definitely moving along on your project

WOW

That is looking really Nice! :dancingbanana:

What I usually do on those bottom shroud bolts is cut a slot in the metal and then all you have to do is loosen the bolt instead of take it out all the time

Yes they are. I got them from jestin at tube frame restorations. Have you used them. What do you think?

Well progress is slow. The seat came in last week. I really like the idea he had but the workmanship is disappointing. I'll save those pics for later in the build. The decals from maplehunter came in. They look great.

I don't need the BOLENS decals in the first pic and I don't think I need the round Huskyman.

Any ideas on how to get my serial number and model number in the ID tag.

Still need pin stripe, although I may paint that on, any thoughts on painting the pin stripe. The other decal I need id the Hydrostatic Drive decal for the skirts. I'll have to drop a line to Carrie at Maplehunter to see what can be done.
